SALINE COUNTY, Kan. ( KWCH /Gray News) - Authorities have released new details about a woman arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash in Kansas last week.

Deanna Sommerfield, known as “June” by her family and friends, died in the collision. Friends described Sommerfield as someone truly special.

“She was everything. There are no words to describe such a person,” Sommerfield’s friends said.

Last Friday, the 55-year-old and her husband were driving on K-140 when they were hit head-on by Kayla Errebo, who is suspected of driving under the influence, authorities said.
