The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) has issued updated guidance directing the resumption of driver license and state ID processing for eligible Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries, following recent federal court rulings that extended TPS for nationals of Honduras, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Individuals from Honduras and Nicaragua with valid TPS documentation are eligible for services through November 18, 2025. These actions ensure Florida’s compliance with federal law and allow qualifying individuals to obtain state-issued identification in accordance with applicable administrative orders.
