The Seasons of Strength project will present a live “Listening for Art” workshop Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Newnan Carnegie Library as part of its Artists & Authors Series.

Led by project creator and director Gwendolyn Kuhlmann, the workshop explores the power of listening and the art of holding space for meaningful, honest stories. It draws on the same tools and mindset Kuhlmann has used while collecting nearly 100 stories of survival and recovery following the March 2021 EF-4 tornado.

The workshop—available online since October 2024—was designed to help friends, family and neighbors engage in deeper conversations about the storm and the long process of rebuilding. The in-person format offers participants a rare opportunity to experience its techniques for connection and healin
