PORT ANGELES – Peninsula College has had its accreditation reaffirmed by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities following the commission’s Year Seven Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness.

The decision, made during the commission’s July meeting, included four commendations. The NWCCU praised the college’s campus culture of respect and collaboration, its commitment to teaching and learning through the Center for Equity, Teaching, and Learning, a transparent, data-driven budgeting process, and community engagement across the Olympic Peninsula.

President Suzy Ames credited the achievement to faculty, staff, and students, noting that collaboration, transparency, and respect are central to the college’s work.

The commission also issued three recommendations for improvement
