A potential change that would have had major implications on the composition of city council fizzled this week with councillors deciding to not move forward with a recommendation to look into changing the size of council.
If passed, the motion, which was discussed during the financial and labour relations committee meeting during Monday night’s council meeting, could have seen the number of councillors reduced from 10 to eight, plus the mayor.
