KURT Warner's son has been handed a huge boost in his bid to reach the NFL.

EJ Warner, 21, transfered to Fresno State in January for his senior year.

It was the second transfer he has had during his college career.

And the signal caller was named the team's starter for the opening game.

Fresno State will play Kansas on August 23 in a Week Zero kickoff clash.

Warner earned the starting job at Temple in his freshman season 2022.

He was named AAC Rookie of the Year after throwing for 3,028 yards and 18 touchdowns in 11 games.

The 21-year-old transfered to Rice for his junior year after two seasons with Temple.

He started all 11 games for the school in 2024.

And the quarterback entered the transfer portal again in January to play for Fresno State this fall.
