ST. LOUIS - A man injured in a St. Louis stabbing has died nearly two weeks later due to health complications, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim, a 50-year-old man, was stabbed around 6 a.m. on July 29 in the 200 block of Fassen Street in St. Louis' Carondelet neighborhood.
Police have not disclosed the victim's identity and are working to notify next of kin.
According to an SLMPD crime summary report, the victim told officer that he was stabbed during a fight and knew the suspect.
Police say the victim was conscious and breathing after the stabbing, and when he was initially taken to the hospital for his injuries, he was listed in critical, but stable condition.
