BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge man faces multiple charges after authorities said he set fire to a home with four children inside, shouting "everyone is going to die."

According to , Alfred Jarvis, 46, was arrested Tuesday on Inverrary Drive for four counts of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated arson, home invasion, and criminal trespass. Investigators said the home had been broken into and the children reported smelling gasoline allegedly poured inside by Jarvis,

Authorities also revealed a history of threats.
