CLEVELAND, Ohio — José Ramírez etched his name deeper into Cleveland baseball history Wednesday night, setting a new Guardians franchise record with his 27th career multi-home run game in a 4-3 victory over the Marlins at Progressive Field.
Ramírez surpassed legends Albert Belle and Jim Thome, who each had 26 multi-homer games while playing for Cleveland. His record-breaking performance included a first-inning solo shot off Marlins starter Janson Junk and a decisive eighth-inning blast against reliever Calvin Faucher that broke a 3-3 tie.
