A new Mountain Dew is on its way to Taco Bell.

For the first time in two decades, the fast-food chain is introducing a new flavor of Baja Blast with Baja Midnight, an unexpected purple twist on the iconic tropical lime flavor fans know and love.

Midnight combines the signature tropical lime flavor of the original with a refreshing blast of passion fruit flavor. It drops at locations nationwide on Aug. 14 as a permanent menu addition.

Variations of Baja Blast have been available in stores over the years, but not at Taco Bell.
