The NBC10 First Alert Weather Team is tracking the threat of thunderstorms for the Philadelphia region on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.

Thunderstorms are expected late in the afternoon and into this evening. There's a chance some of these storms could be strong, with an isolated severe storm not out of the question.

There's also a possibility of downpours, so we could wind up with some localized flooding and ponding on the roads.

Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, will be a mostly cloudy day, still hot and humid, with a high of 90°, and some afternoon showers possible before things dry out heading into Friday and the weekend.
