Thunderstorms across lower Michigan and in the Upper Peninsula are possible late on Wednesday, Aug. 13, with temperatures starting to cool.
"There is a slight chance of thunderstorms to develop this afternoon. These storms are not expected to be severe," the National Weather Service said.
Hazardous weather outlooks are in effect for southeast, southwest Michigan and parts of the Upper Peninsula for thunderstorms spawning high winds or lightning, though the storms are forecast to be non-severe.
In addition, there are moderate swim risks along Lake Michigan's southern coast and Lake Superior's shoreline of Alger County for rip currents and waves up to 4 feet high.
