CLEVELAND (WJW/AP) -- The Browns are in Philadelphia this week ahead of their preseason game Saturday against the Eagles, and another injury has now plagued the quarterback roster.

Fox 8 Sports Reporter John Sabol reports that Shedeur Sanders, who started at quarterback last Friday against the Panthers and completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdown passes, suffered an oblique injury early in practice Wednesday.

"Sanders’ status for Saturday’s game is in doubt," Sabol posted on X.

The Browns also addressed the injury on social media, saying Sanders was "held out the remainder of practice."

Dillon Gabriel was limited last week because of a strained hamstring, but did some 11-on-11 work Monday.
