A Trenton man has been charged in connection with allegedly trying to meet someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday.

Andrew Day, 30, was arraigned Tuesday through the 37th District Court in Warren before Judge Suzanne Faunce, court records show. He was charged with children – accosting for immoral purposes, a four-year felony, and computers – using to commit a crime, a one-year misdemeanor.

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date, the prosecutor's office said.

No attorney appeared in court records for Day on Wednesday afternoon.

On July 14, Day allegedly messaged an undercover profile identifying as a 15-year-old girl on Reddit, officials said.
