James Cook and the Buffalo Bills have found common ground on a new contract.

The star running back agreed to a four-year deal, the team announced Wednesday. The terms are unclear, though multiple reports noted Cook’s new contract is worth $48 million.

The 25-year-old was entering the final year of his rookie deal and was set to earn $5 million.

“James could only envision himself as a Buffalo Bill,” Cook’s agent, Zac Hiller told ESPN . “We are extremely thankful to the entire Bills organization and glad we could make that happen.”

Despite the ongoing contract dispute, Cook was frequently present at training camp before he appeared in street clothes to practice earlier this month. It marked the first time he didn’t partake in any activities. His reasoning was simply “business.”
