Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) on Tuesday slammed President Trump’s move to deploy the National Guard to Washington, DC, as lacking "seriousness" amid the president’s push to combat crime in the nation’s capital.

“This decision is being made by people who frankly have never worn the uniform themselves,” Moore told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Tuesday.

“The only uniform they have worn are Brooks Brothers suits,” he continued. “And so there’s a lack of seriousness that is going to the decision making process about what you are doing and how you are impacting the lives of these men and women and their families.”
