In yesterday’s column I posed the question of how were the Dodgers going to lose that game? And well, they did do it in another fashion, going to the 1oth inning this time before being walk-off by the Angels, who have now won all five games they’ve played against each other so far this season.
More importantly than that, the San Diego Padres have now completely caught up to the Dodgers and are tied for the divisional lead. The two teams play six games out of the next nine head to head, so that will have the most to do with where the divisional race will lie by the end of August.
Among the many concerns this Dodgers team has, is what to do about Michael Conforto. The left fielder was acquired on a one year deal in the offseason, and hasn’t really lived up to any expectations.
