RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Traffic picked up Wednesday morning around Eastern Kentucky University as students returned to campus.
The class of 2029 spent their day moving into their dorms, meeting their new roommate, and getting acclimated.
2,700 freshmen moved in. President David McFaddin said he’s excited for a year of success and growth.
“I’ve got a little bit of nervousness mixed in with it, but I’m really excited and I’m glad it’s finally here,” said freshman Noah Leverette.
“It feels really gratifying and freeing that all of my work from high school has paid off,” said another freshman, Cooper Matthews.
Carts full of dorm room essentials were wheeled into Keene Hall as day one of the 2025 school year is just days away.
