SALT LAKE CITY — Business owners and employees on both sides of the downtown fire came into work Tuesday morning to find their block dramatically changed. Many told KSL that while they are very grateful their businesses are still standing, they are already feeling the impact.
Many spent the day airing out their stores to get rid of any lingering smoke, and others spent much of the day without power.
Bryon Raybould, owner of Array Salon, watched the flashing lights from his security cameras for hours Monday night.
“I’m really concerned for my neighbors. Business neighbors. I’m worried about the block,” he said.
His salon took on some smoke, but he didn’t find any major damage.
Raybould said he’s worried about the lack of foot traffic from the burned businesses.
