Advice has been issued on how to keep safe during hot weather
A heat health alert covering the East Midlands has been extended for another five days as temperatures remain high. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) had previously issued a yellow alert from Monday, August 11, at noon to Wednesday, August 13, at 6pm.
This has now been extended from 6pm on Wednesday to 6pm on Monday, August 18, across the East Midlands. Although the impact of the high temperatures has been categorised as 'medium' by the UKHSA, "significant" impacts are possible across health and social care services.
