BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Greg Terry, Chief of the Bakersfield Police Department, joined 17 News at Sunrise to discuss recent tragic incidents that have occurred in town such as the death of eight-year-old Genesis Mata and the shooting on Rhone Drive.

In relation to the gruesome nature of the death of Genesis Mata, Chief Terry says police officers are offered mental wellness resources.
