NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department has arrested a man in a 2023 sexual assault investigation.

Sean O’Reilly, 40, of North Charleston, is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to jail records.

Officers responded to a report of an alleged sexual assault involving an out-of-state visitor staying in North Charleston for a work-related trip on July 21, 2023.

The victim said she and several co-workers went to the hotel bar for drinks when she reportedly became highly intoxicated. She later returned to her room and woke up to find a male co-worker allegedly kissing and groping her.
