HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – More suspects were arrested in connection with a homicide from April in Hanford that left 20-year-old Nana Jeff Silva dead, the Hanford Police Department said.

Officers say they responded to a call of shots being fired on April 18, just after midnight, in the 1200 block of Holt Avenue in Hanford. The call stated that a woman was possibly fatally shot.

Upon arrival, police reported finding a woman, identified as Silva, inside the doorway of the home with a gunshot wound. Silva was transported to a local hospital, where she underwent surgery, but eventually succumbed to her injuries

Police said on August 12, Joseph Bernard was taken into custody by officials with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Texas.
