KERMAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man in Kerman has the opportunity to be the country’s best Stein holder.

52-year-old Ray Camacho picked up the Bavarian strength and endurance game a few years ago; what started as a fun challenge has turned into something much bigger.

“My wife says it's a midlife crisis and so whatever it is, I've always been competitive,” Camacho said.

Stein holding is a game of strength and endurance. The goal is to hold a full, one-liter beer Stein straight without bending your arm for as long as possible. Camacho was a novice to the competition until three years ago, when he competed at an Oktoberfest event at Tioga-Sequoia Beer Garden.
