Officials are considering moving from more than 100 traditional polling places on Election Day to nearly 40 vote centers that would accept all registered Allen County voters regardless of where they live.
The Allen County Democratic Party is concerned about how this could affect votersbut the local Republican party looks forward to the change increasing the number of votes cast locally.
Allen County has previously opened locations to all voters that can be used for early voting during the weeks leading up to elections. Polling places for Election Day have been assigned to Allen County residents based on their precinct .
