The Botanist, a medical and adult-use cannabis dispensary and drive-thru, opened July 28 at 33113 Aurora Road ion Solon – the city’s first cannabis dispensary.

The Botanist is the first of two marijuana dispensaries to open in Solon, with Verilife Dispensary planning to begin serving patients and customers in the coming weeks at 30050 Aurora Road, according to a Verilife representative.

The Botanist is operating near Solon’s city center, which Solon Mayor Eddy Kraus said he hopes will contribute to the business’s success.

“This one is in a very prominent location, right in the commercial area,” Kraus told the Cleveland Jewish News. “I hope they succeed just like I hope every business succeeds.”
