Wednesday morning, Bills running back RB James Cook put pen to paper and signed a four-year contract extension, keeping the two-time Pro Bowler in Buffalo through 2029.
General manager Brandon Beane detailed that negotiations progressed far enough Tuesday night that it would be go time the following morning.
"I think it was roughly 11 o'clock or so last night when we were able to say both sides are good with this, and we'll get it signed in the morning," Beane said.
The Bills drafted Cook in the second round of the 2022 draft and he has constantly been improving year over year. The RB had a record-breaking year in 2024, with 16 rushing touchdowns (tying for the most in the league) and tied for the most in a single season in Bills history (O.J. Simpson – 1975).
