A Greensboro man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after shooting someone last Monday on Veasley Street, according to Greensboro police.
On Aug. 4 at 9:17 p.m. Greensboro officers responded to 2004 Veasley St. in reference to a discharge of firearms, but once they arrived no victim was located.
Shortly thereafter a gunshot victim with non-life threatening injuries arrived at a local hospital.
According to police, members of GPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and Violent Crime Reduction Team located and arrested Tyrone Lee Harris, 49, in connection to the shooting.
He was charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony carrying a concealed weapon, felony conspiracy and discharging a firearm within the city limits.
