A Wortley Village grocery store is holding a fundraiser in memory of a longtime employee killed in a stabbing near downtown London earlier this month.
Todd Armstrong , 57, died Aug. 3 after he was stabbed at about 1 p.m. near the intersection of Princess Avenue and Colborne Street, just east of downtown. Police said they were called to the site after an “altercation” between two people who did not know each other – a detail they called especially “concerning.”
His obituary described his death as “the result of a random act of violence.”
Armstrong spent much of his career at Tremblett’s Your Independent Grocer that announced it will host a barbecue fundraiser in his honour on Friday.
