With a state-best 21-game winning streak and 41 seniors, Dutch Fork enters another season as a favorite.

The three-time defending Division I Silver Foxes were once again named the preseason number one in Class 5A by the S.C. Prep Football Media. They received 16 of 17 first-place votes, with the defending Division II champion Northwestern receiving the lone vote.

Division II runner-up Irmo and Ridge View were also ranked in the Class 5A Top 10. White Knoll and River Bluff also received votes.

A.C. Flora, Camden and Gray Collegiate make up the bottom portion of the Class 4A Top 10 poll. Newberry was the lone Midlands team ranked in Class 3A at number eight, while Batesburg-Leesville held that distinction in Class 2A at number three.
