NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - As part of the countdown to kickoff for University of Tennessee football, WSMV spending the month of August profiling 30 UT football players in ‘30 Days 30 Vols’ . The segments air on WSMV’s 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.

University of Tennessee long snapper Bennett Brady is #17 on the countdown.

He’s a fourth-year in-state long snapper from West Tennessee, and he’s expected to start for the Vols in 2025 after taking over for the steady Matthew Solansky.

“I can’t explain it,” Brady said about his family’s reaction to seeing him in Tennessee orange. “My mom probably tears up every time we run out of the T, and it’s just an awesome moment to have, being a kid from Tennessee.”

He’s looking forward to playing his part on the field.
