CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A 45-year-old man was killed on Tuesday night after he was struck by a van in south Charlotte, according to Charlotte police.
Charlotte police said on Tuesday, Aug. 12, around 10:30 p.m. they responded to the intersection of North Community House Road and Upper Avenue for a vehicle crash.
When officers arrived at the intersection they found 45-year-old Vidal Zinczuk was in the road with life-threatening injuries. A Chevrolet Express van with front end damage was found near Zinczuk.
Officials said that the van was traveling north on North Community House road when the van struck Zinczuk who was crossing the road.
The driver of the van was not hurt.
