BRAINERD — Laughter, excitement and the smell of grilled meat filled the air Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Gregory Park for the annual Brainerd Night Out.
With the wildfire smoke subsiding, a beautiful summer day brought out hundreds of community members who filled the south end of Gregory Park to celebrate community and learn about safety from law enforcement and firefighters.
The event was created to have those who serve come out and build public relationships in their communities.
Jumping out of the Brainerd Fire Department's fire truck, 4-year-old Memphis Andert said she was having fun seeing all the fire equipment and police cars.
