SPOKANE, Wash. — We are still in the thick of the wildfire season in Washington and Idaho, but that doesn't mean we can't look forward to what the winter has in store.
According to the Farmers' Almanac 2025-26 Winter Weather Forecast, Washingtonians and Idahoans can expect a chilly and wet 2025-26 winter.
The Farmers' Almanac said the season's coldest temperatures are expected to be found from the Northern Plains to New England, but Washingtonians and Idahoans should prepare for a cold winter.
When it comes to snowfall, according to the Farmers' Almanac, mountains in the Pacific Northwest could see some "impressive snowfall totals."
This year's winter solstice is on December 21, 2025.
