DENVER (KKTV) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 88-year-old who they say suffers from memory issues.

Deputies say Verlin “Clark” Stephens can become easily confused and lost. They say he has health issues and has left his medications behind, and there are high concerns for his safety.

Deputies say Stephens drives a 1997 Silver BMW Z3 with Colorado plate 591-OIR.

His vehicle was reportedly last seen driving north on Colorado Boulevard from Martin Luther King Boulevard in Denver just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies say Stephens was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, a maroon sweatshirt and black shoes with unknown-colored pants. He may have his wallet with him, but the sheriff’s office says he does not have his cell phone.
