LUMBERTON — The Public Schools of Robeson County Board of Education recognized Beta Club members from across the county for their achievements at national competitions during its monthly meeting Tuesday at PSRC Central Office.
The Beta Clubs from Pembroke Elementary, St. Pauls Elementary, Union Elementary and the PSRC Early College all had students who placed in the National Beta Club competition in June. The awarded students and school teams were invited to the board meeting to receive personal recognition for their efforts and achievements.
Additionally, the board voted to adopt a new mental health plan for the district. Alerts can be sent to a call center during a mental health crisis, and a team at each school will receive an alert and respond to the situation.
