AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will offer fully digital options for all recreational hunting, fishing, and combo licenses and tags when 2025–26 licenses go on sale Aug. 15, the department announced.

The expansion, approved in March by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, builds on digital license options first introduced in 2022 for resident supercombo licenses. Hunters and anglers who prefer can still purchase traditional paper licenses online or at point-of-sale locations.

Digital licenses are available through online purchase only. License holders will not receive printed documents and must keep their digital license accessible on a mobile device while in the field. Harvests must be tagged through the Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app, and licenses can also b
