Conservative commentator Kristin Davison and “Table for Five” host Abby Phillip

Conservative commentator Kristin Davison was stumped for an answer when “Table for Five” host Abby Phillip asked her twice to cite proof of conservative parties politically targeted by the Obama administration for prosecution.

Davison and Phillip were discussing the recent FBI raid of the Bethesda, Maryland home of former national security advisor John Bolton, a vocal Trump critic when Davison attempted to compare what looked like a politically-motivated attack by Trump to past political acts of vengeance by former presidents Obama and Biden.

“Examples of political retribution that we do have proof of is Biden and Obama. … Those are the ones we know for sure, that the IRS was weaponized, the DOJ was weaponized,” Davison said. “Those are the examples that we've actually seen.”

“There has yet to date been no proof that any of that was directed by the president of the United States,” Phillip countered. “If I’m wrong, I’m wrong, but where is the proof? Because I have yet to see any proof of Joe Biden directing that.”

Phillip again demanded Davison show her proof when she repeated her claim a second time a few minutes later, implying that the grand jury indictment of Trump in 2023 was a political hit.

“If I may, the indictments were returned by grand juries who saw evidence,” Phillip said. “And on top of that, the main reason Trump is not facing criminal penalties [now] is that he ran for president again.”

“All these different prosecutions and all these different jurisdictions were not all directed from one place,” Phillip added. “There's absolutely no evidence of that. You guys can tell me what evidence you have of that, but I've never seen it, and I've never heard anybody actually voice it.”

“That the Obama and Biden administrations didn't politicize the DOJ?” Davison asked incredulously.

“Well, okay, then. Who?” Phillip demanded.

“Oh, I mean, they were they were better at hiding it,” Davison insisted.

“If you are making the claim that this was directed by some kind of big puppeteer at the top of the pyramid, who is that person?”

“So, why did the IRS only go after conservative groups?” Davison asked.

“They didn’t,” said SiriusXM Host John Fugelsang.

“You're not answering my question,” Phillip pressed. “Who is the person, right? Who are they?”
