ST. CHARLES, Mo. ( KMOV /Gray News) – A senior dog with a love of sirens gets to visit a firehouse every week, but he’s still looking for his forever home.

Ferb, 10, is a longtime resident of Five Acres Animal Shelter in St. Charles, Missouri, near St. Louis.

Ferb has been adopted and returned to the shelter twice. Shelter staff members are hoping he will find his forever home soon.

When firefighters found out about Ferb’s love of sirens, they had him visit the fire station for his 10th birthday.

It quickly became a weekly tradition, and Ferb has been visiting the firehouse on Mondays ever since.

The firehouse has become a “home away from home” for Ferb. He even has his own crate there.
