The incident happened Sunday (August 10th) during the 18th annual Summer Slam championship in Penfield, New York. The Crimson Pride 10-and-under team was facing Prime Baseball when a dust devil suddenly formed near home plate.

Winds estimated up to 55 mph

Officials estimated the swirling column of wind reached speeds between 50 and 55 mph. The strong gusts picked up dust and debris, leaving a visible trail before slowly dissipating.
