TYLER, Texas — Arrest documents allege an East Texas man led an operation of multiple people selling illegal narcotics, mainly crack cocaine, at buildings near local schools and daycares over a one-year period.

Samatraus Forge, 39, is charged with two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and engaging in organized crime. He was arrested Monday and remains jailed on $1.15 million bond.

According to an arrest affidavit, a one-year Tyler Police Department investigation using a credible informant led to a detective determining that Forge is the head of a criminal organization with nine people acting as his salespersons for illegal drugs.
