LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A "one-of-a-kind" mechanical bull ride cover worth $34,000, owned by automotive manufacturer RAM, was later found in possession of company employees.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reports that the company claimed the cover was stolen on Saturday following Roadkill Nights in Pontiac.
Police say RAM issued a news release that said the custom-made metal cover for its "Bucking HEMI" was stolen while it was being dismantled after the event.
However, the sheriff's office reports detectives later determined it was never stolen and the item was instead in the possession of company employees.
