CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Parts of an electric bike sprawled across a quiet Clovis neighborhood marked where a teenage boy and a truck collided.

Clovis Police say just after 1 pm Wednesday, the boy was riding his e-bike without a helmet in the area of Athens and Perry when the crash happened.

"He had lower major injury to his legs. He was immediately transported to CRMC," Clovis Police Cpl. Mark Bradford said on Wednesday afternoon. "At this time, he's in stable but critical condition."

Police say the boy was trying to make money in his neighborhood this summer, pulling a cart with a pressure washer, which was left broken in the street.

The truck was just feet away with front damage as police canvassed the area for video and witnesses.
