BOISE, Idaho — One of the deadliest times on Idaho roads is quickly approaching, and as a preventive measure, several law enforcement agencies are participating in an impaired driving enforcement campaign.

The Idaho Transportation Department's Office of Highway Safety (OHS) will partner with law enforcement agencies statewide for the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign, the agency announced Wednesday.

The impaired driving campaign runs from Aug. 15 through Sept. 1, targeting one of the deadliest periods on roads, which is around Labor Day. It comes as impaired driving continues to claim lives across the state, authorities said.
