MEAD, Wash. – Firefighters responded to a fire near the 13000 block of North Nelson Lane after flames rekindled from a fifteen-by-fifteen foot burn pile.

Robert Gray from Spokane County Fire District #9 said that lots of resources responded and that no structures were threatened. There were also no evacuations or injuries.

Gray said that people should expect smoke in the area and that crews will be on the scene putting out the small burn area.

The fire is under control, he said, and is not spreading.
