ENGLEWOOD — Lucas Krull could not be more wide open in the end zone.
On Saturday, in a 30-9 preseason road victory over the 49ers, the Broncos tight end scored on an 8-yard completion from quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Krull looked around, pointed his finger at a lack of defenders and shrugged.
“He’s a good target down the field,” coach Sean Payton said this week at Broncos Park for training camp. “He got open on a busted coverage the other night that all of us would’ve been just as happy and open as he was.”
