FLINT, MI – A 41-year-old Attica man who allegedly stole a vehicle from a Flint restaurant last week has been arrested and lodged in the Lapeer County Jail, police say.

Michigan State Police troopers from the Lapeer Post responded to a home around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 for a report of a stolen vehicle.

The owner reported her 2019 Chevy Equinox was stolen in Flint on Aug. 8, according to a news release from MSP.

Police tracked the location of the vehicle using its OnStar security feature and troopers stopped the vehicle. The 41-year-old man was driving, according to the release.

Inside the vehicle, police allegedly found burglary tools, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, suboxone, stolen credit cards, stolen driver’s licenses and a stolen pill bottle.
