PHOENIX — Firefighters are responding to a new wildfire in the Coconino National Forest, south of Clints Well, which has burned 19 acres.

The Coldwater fire was reported just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday and isn't currently threatening any homes or communities. Forward progress on the fire was stopped Wednesday evening and firefighters will spend Thursday extinguishing hotspots.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials say smoke from the fire will be visible from the C.C. Cragin Reservoir, which is about forty miles away.
