MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - After WSAZ submitted a Freedom of Information Act request for Milton’s City Council meeting minutes, the council held a special meeting to discuss who exactly was responsible for assembling them.
After debate, the question remained somewhat unanswered, with councilmembers and the mayor saying they would pitch in to help and floating the idea of using a transcription service.
Milton Mayor Shane Evans argued it should be the city’s Recorder, Phyllis Smith, citing West Virginia State Code §8-10-3 .
