A downtown bar fight in Idaho Falls led to two arrests early Sunday morning.

Police responded to a disturbance at Ford's Bar on A Street at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, according to court records. Multiple people were fighting when officers arrived. The police attempted to move people away from the bar to de-escalate the situation.

But when officers attempted to remove Briana Christine Diaz, 29, of Idaho Falls from on top of another unidentified man, she allegedly punched one officer in the chest and later allegedly kicked and scratched another officer.

She is charged with two felony counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and a third misdemeanor count of willfully resisting arrest. The battery charges carry a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment, a $50,000 fine and restitution costs
